Advent worship and Carols. Festive tea afterwards Bring a plate of food.
Tiny Treasure Seekers
MU Members are helping to support St Illtud's work with children. If you are able to help with our commitment to support Tiny Treasure Seekers by serving refreshments and chatting to Mums and Carers, please ask about how you can become involved. In addition to this we are currently engaged in knitting a crib set for the Tiny Treasure Seekers to use.
"Behind Closed Doors" exhibition.
Our July meeting was in St Illtud's when our speaker was our Diocesan President Sue Rivers. She talked about the "Behind Closed Doors" exhibition which we hosted in St Illtud's during the first two weeks of July. This exhibition explores the issue of domestic violence and invites us to think about ways in which we can help to address this in our community. It then moved on to the National Eisteddfod in Pontypridd and will be in various churches around the Diocese after that.
Food Bank
We are supporting our local Food Bank especially with toiletries (for children, men and women) and sanitary products. These can be brought to church at any time and placed in the Food Bank boxes. Obviously all our gifts to the foodbank are very welcome but these particular items are much needed.
Membership
If you are new to our area and would like to join or transfer your previous membership, please contact us.
Our membership contributions for 2024 are £25.00 per member. This is our contribution, not only to the running of the MU as an organisation but also to the campaigning and project work of MU wherever we work.
